Pangare’, also known as mealy, is a modifier. Pangare’ causes the muzzle and underside of a pony to be a lighter color, from white to light tan. It is not known at this time how pangare’ is inherited. There are also degrees of pangare’ from only a little shading, only on the muzzle, to extensive shading. Minimal expressions is what has been found in Chincoteagues.
